Upcycled/redesigned/reworked from a Merona dress shirt that features taupe grey and white gingham. Originally sized as a men’s medium.

Restyled to feature a draped bib front that tie with small brass D-rings and cute appliqué white daisies. A pleated linen and daisy panel decorates the bib, with a contrast fabric on the inside so it can be worn partially folded down. Its chest pocket now has a linen pocket flap that stays closed with an appliqué daisy tie and D-ring.

The sleeves have been structured and gathered at the shoulders, and shortened into a flattering half length. The torso has been cropped for a cute boxy fit, finished with a gingham binding along the bottom hem. Lots of small details that make this blouse a true gem!

The boxy cut of this blouse offers a flattering, modern silhouette that elongates the legs and highlights the waist. Its loose "boxy" fit eliminates the need to tuck in fabric, providing breathability, freedom of movement, and all-day comfort without clinging to the body.

By ending at the natural waist, it pairs perfectly with high-rise bottoms to create the illusion of longer legs and a balanced frame.
