THE TOP:

A vintage inspired, cropped button-up with an asymmetrical snap opening and front bow closure. It has a sailor collar in the back and pointed lapels in the front. The blouse opens and closes with durable snaps along the left side. A cute bow finishes the look. Its fabric is a soft and substantial cotton flannel in black + blue plaid with a subtle green stripe.

All elements of this blouse feature contrast piping and finished hems. Handmade for a long life of wear and enjoyment—in all sizes XS-5XL, and custom.

THE SKIRT

Adjustable, pleated wrap skirt in mixed plaid—inspired by the 18th century petticoat. This modern lightweight version uses both knife and box pleats to add shape, and multiple patterns of plaid to add the sass.

Like the petticoat, it has an adjustable waistline to fit a range of sizes and can be easily layered or worn on its own.

How wonderful it is to have a skirt that always fits no matter how your waistline fluctuates day to day…or year to year.

The original 18th century version uses narrow ties in both the front and the back, but I personally find the front tie adds bulk where it’s not wanted. So this version uses one hidden strap and two small D-rings to tighten in the front, sitting flush against your waistline—and a long tie that wraps from the front, around your waist, to tie in the back.

Two front pockets are anchored to sides, hidden underneath the front panel of the skirt. They are big enough to fit a cellphone, wallet, and/or keys. Ladies, we have needs and pockets are one of them!

The front and back skirt panels overlap at the sides by about 6".

PLEASE NOTE: This skirt has very generous sizing, and can fit a range of multiple sizes in one skirt. To get the best fit, please choose your size from the chart below and I will make your skirt to fit both a smaller and larger range than reflected in the size chart.
