Extra notes on purple eyelet quilt dress:

• Outer Fabric: Turkish eyelet fabric (purple) + quilt fabric, patterned as in listing photo. ADD quilt blocks made by mom (inside bodice panel, and/or pockets.) Also incorporate black liner fabric to the outside.

• Liner: black with dots fabric

• Lining Length: Entire bodice and most of the skirt lined. Unlined at the very bottom, a few inches not lined above the quilt fabric edging.

• Buttons: iridescent peacock buttons ordered from Etsy, 8 large 4 small

• Hood: purple eyelet fabric outer, quilt fabric inside. Hood edging with narrow strip of black dots fabric?

• Sleeve: finished hem— top side purple eyelet, underside quilt fabric, line sleeve edge with black eyelet fabric?

• Bodice: as pictured, quilt element on outside and inside of double breasted panel—keep the rest purple eyelet + liner. Inside double breasted panel might be a good placement for mom’s quilt squares. Line edge of double breasted panel with black dots fabric?

• Skirt: 4 panel skirt with points at the seams. What to avoid: simple horizontal stripe going across the hips. Try to design with a more traditional quilt-block shape like a star.

• Pockets: Shape so that they lie flush with the skirt (no extra volume) and blend in with the skirt’s quilted section. ADD iridescent peacock buttons to close pockets. Possible placement for mom’s quilt squares.
